I just learned of Tammie's passing. We were friends back in high school. I used to teach rock climbing, and Tammie was first one of my students, then trained to be an instructor. She was so very clever and strong willed that she and I became fast friends. I was there when Eugene was born, and did baby sit once or twice.
Tammie and I met up about six years ago, and had a wonderful dinner together. I would think back on those days often, and Tammie showed prominently in that past.
I am so very sorry that I did not know of her illness or passing, and only learned of her passing this morning. My heart is heavy. Her fire and passion was truly inspiring to me. Her strength will live on.
