I don't know what drew me to checking on my dear friend Dave or as he was often called "Red" I met him when I was working for the army in Germany. When I met him we instantly became friends. I'm from England and think fondly of him. A modest man with a good heart. It's probably around 40 years that I last met up with him in Depew. I also met his brother and on an impulse they suddenly took me and my wife to see Niagara Falls. I'm sorry to hear of his death but my fond memories of him will remain. R.I.P. my dear friend. God bless you.

Today makes everything feel a little more real. How I wish you were here for all of us to wish you a "a happy birthday evening" and you repeating it and laughing as we picture Nani stuck in the backseat of the blazer. Happy Birthday Hobus love you forever!

My Godfather, Uncle Dave. I am so thankful and truly blessed to have had him in my life. From day one hobus has always been "My Dave". Carrying me around as soon as I reached up and squeezed my tiny hands open and shut "uppie my Dave, uppie my Dave",, without hesitation he would swoop me up and as the years progressed my mom would say "David, that's enough shes to big" but that did not stop him. He continued to never let me down. He was the man that was always there, every school event, every game, every recital, and then continued this bond with my children. Uncle Dave is our comfort, our calm, our friend, and most of all our family. I never imagined having a day without him, but find comfort in knowing we will always have a part of him and he will be watching over us. I love you Hobie. ❤️

David was a great guy. How do you describe such a man. David and I had a lot of party adventures and family adventures. He was the most easy going guy . He was a very humble man. He grew to be part of my family. David was kind generous man. I could write a book about him and still not cover everything. All the good times we had with him. David is someone you can never replace. My heart weighs heavy from the loss of my friend. A man that I shall never forget. Truly blessed to have met David. Always a cool guy .

While Dave and I didn’t share blood, he was my brother for 51+ years, and I’ll always love him with all my heart and soul. He was a good man, a simple man, a humble man, a loyal man, a quiet man with a huge heart, someone who saw me at several of my low moments in life who also got to share my happiness and highest points in my life. We had a wealth of laughs. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in my life but, instead of mourning, I’ll always celebrate the good fortune we had in our mutual love and respect. It is a bittersweet blessing to have loved him so deeply.
