Living in the Cotton-Caswell area, I remember Joe from back in the early 1980s, like at Manti's Market on Sawyer. He was the sort of person who'd become an instant friend to anyone. It was my honor to have known him for a brief time. I hope the young people who knew him have learned his kindheartedness.

Joe was a Super Cousin! More like a big brother to me. We had some Great times with him, and all the Bucherts, at my Fathers cabin every summer. He had a big heart filled with kindness and generosity, always doing work on my Dad’s car or helping out with the younger kids. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bucherts, and I hope your memories of Joe live in your hearts forever and get you through this time of lose. Love & Hugs, Doug Geyer

I will never forget Joes smile. He was such a good listener, you could always tell he was really listening when you spoke to him. Just so so sincere. My son told me tonight. Mom Joe was truly the most sincere and nicest man I’ve ever known. He sure loved life and family. Miss you Joe
