Douglas Joseph Petti passed away on April 14, 2026. Born on June 16, 1943, in Buffalo, New York, Doug was the beloved son of the late Anna (née Brozouski) and Julius Petti.

Doug proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from November 6, 1961, to November 5, 1965. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work to the General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant, where he was employed as a machine operator on the assembly line until his retirement.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Doug found great joy in cheering for his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He was especially fond of playing softball, golfing, and bowling. One of his proudest personal achievements was scoring a perfect 300 game in bowling, a testament to his skill and dedication to the sport.

Doug is survived by his children Anne (Tommy) Szczerbacki, Doug Petti, and Anneta (Keith) Marinaccio.  His grandchildren Jonah Petti, Julius Petti, Gage Marinaccio, Easton Marinaccio, and Jace Petti, and great grandson Levi. Doug is also survived by his siblings, Mary DiMartile, Sharon Nelson, and Robert (Sharyn) Petti, along with many nieces and nephews.
