Beloved wife of David Strickland and devoted mother of Benjamin Reid Conomos. Loving sister of Gordon Scott Harris and sister-in-law to Terry Martina (Clint Okun). Cherished niece of aunt / godmother Catherine Wilde McPhee (James); aunt Nancy Wilde. Dear first cousin to Keirstan (Harris) Thompson; Alissa (Harris) Cole (Stephen); Austin C. Wilde III (Beth); Alan Reid Wilde (Joan); Andrew Wilde (Annalee); Keirstan (Wilde) Harris (Nate); Jennifer Wilde; Megan (Wilde) Hatcher (Shannon); James J. McPhee Jr.; and Kevin McPhee, along with many more cousins and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was predeceased by her loving mother, Carol Ann (Wilde) Harris; her father, Gordon William Harris; and her stepfather, Arthur E. Ricketts.
Tracie was intelligent, kind, generous, and a woman of many passions in life. She was a steady presence to those who loved her and gave freely of herself in both quiet and meaningful ways. With a natural flair for storytelling, she wrote short stories and poems, a passion that flourished during her college years. After college, she continued pursuing her artistic talents as a beautician at Jimmy's Salon in Amherst, and dedicated more than 20 years to her profession.
Tracie had many hobbies and joys throughout her life. Camping brought her great happiness and perfectly matched her adventurous spirit. Her love of minerals and precious stones led her to the art of lapidary, where she expressed her creativity through jewelry and design. She also had a deep love for her felines, and even now, Ms. Kiara surely feels her absence. Tracie enjoyed serving her Eastern Star Chapter and their volunteer work in the community. Each chapter of her life reflected her creative and intelligent qualities she lovingly passed on to her son through the time they shared.
The loss of Tracie is immeasurable to her immediate family. She was a guiding light, a source of strength, encouragement, and unconditional love. The laughter she brought, the wisdom she shared, and the steady support she offered will forever be woven into the lives of her husband, son, brother and all who were closest to her. Though her presence is deeply missed, the love she gave so freely remains a lasting gift.
A celebration of Tracie's life will be held in the coming months, with details to be announced.
