Obituary of Peter A. Arena

Peter Anthony Arena died following a brief illness on January 23, 2026. A resident of the Lancaster/Depew area all of his 82 years, his life followed a path of service, commitment and love.

Peter served in the US Navy for four years. He had over twenty years in the Lancaster Police Department. He was active in local government and local charities. He spent many years supporting the Lancaster Lions club. A valued member of his community and family, Peter will be missed.

Peter is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary (nee Lazarus). Also, his daughters, Jennifer Grablin (Rich), Melissa Rickard (Dave), Rebecca McMahon(Jake) and his son, Michael (Kelly).

In a role he delighted in most of all, Papa, he will be missed by his many grandchildren: Eli, Caleb, Jacob, Chris, Zach, Noah, Sophie, William, Lilya, and Willow.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation in the Cichon-Borgosz Funeral Home Inc. 4929 Broadway, Depew, Friday from 3-6PM. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in Annunciation Church 7580 Clinton St. Elma NY at  10 AM.  Please Assemble at Church
