Obituary of Thomas R. Andrews

Thomas R. Andrews, of Cheektowaga, passed peacefully on January 18, 2026. He was born April 1, 1947 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Lorretta (nee Grimmer) and Thomas C. Andrews.

Tom was the beloved husband and best friend of Sharon F. Andrews (nee Barrows). They were married on May 24, 1969 at St. James Church in Depew, beginning a life together filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures that spanned more than 56 years.

A devoted family man, Tom was the proud father of Kimberly (John) Budzynski and Kelly (Robert) Kuhl, and a loving grandfather to Matthew, Zackery, and Alexis, along with his much-loved granddogs, Zoey and Tuch.  He found great joy in time spent with his family and took immense pride in each of them. He was the dear brother of Beverly (Paul) Brown and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Tom spent his career in the die making industry, first as a skilled machinist and later as a salesman. He was respected for his knowledge, strong work ethic, and ability to connect easily with others.

Outside of work, Tom truly enjoyed life. Summers at Silver Lake became a treasured tradition and eventually led he and Sharon to make it their full-time home, a place filled with memories of relaxation, family gatherings, and simple joys. In later years, they wintered in Florida, enjoying warmer weather and a slower pace of life. An avid outdoorsman, Tom loved hunting and fishing, and he especially enjoyed traveling, with cruises being a favorite way to explore and unwind.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life and Breakfast to be held at the Columns Banquets, 2221 Transit Road, Elma, NY 14059 on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 10:30 AM.  Please let the family know if you are able to attend.

Tom will be remembered for his kindness, easygoing nature, love of family, and the many memories he created with those who were fortunate to know him.
