I had the privilege of getting to know Chris this past summer and fall. Even though our friendship was developed in 2 rehab facilities in Niagara County, NY, we became good friends. We always had deep conversations with a bunch of goofiness sprinkled in. We both shared a connection watching the Bills and Sabres. Chris and I went out on passes to a morning AA meeting every Saturday. He was dedicated in reaching a life of sobriety. Unfortunately he had to leave Horizon Village but didn’t want to. After he departure he and I had conversations on a daily basis. When I heard of his passing I was stunned as we talked the day before. I’ll always have fond memories of his friendship. I will not let his name go down in vain and i will conquer my disease for the two of us. RIP Pal
