James E. “Jim” Nowak entered into rest on November 25, 2025. Born April 1, 1943

to the late Helen (née Borgosz) and Edward Nowak, Jim lived a life defined by

dedication to family, faith and community.

 

For 60 years, Jim shared a devoted and joyful marriage with his beloved wife,

Janice (née Mohn) Nowak whom he married on May 22, 1965 in St. Agnes

Church in Buffalo, NY. They built a life rooted in love, partnership and family

filled with warmth, traditions, and countless treasured memories.

 

Jim was the proud and dedicated father of James J. (Dawn) Nowak, Janine (Scott)

Kroon, Derek (Danielle) Nowak, and Gayle (Brad) Robbins; Loving grandfather of

Jett Nowak, Kaleigh and Colton Kroon, Nolan and Sonny Nowak, Harper and

River Robbins and the late Angel Starr Nowak; Dear brother of Carolyn (Robert)

Zydel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Jim was a proud retiree of United Parcel Service and a dedicated member of the

Teamsters. He was deeply involved in his community through his membership in

Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2692 and the Knights of Columbus, Father Justin

Council #5670- Fourth Degree. Jim played a key role in the development and

growth of the Southline Athletic Association, helping to shape local youth

baseball for generations to come.

 

A lover of friendly competition and camaraderie, Jim organized numerous golf

tournaments over the years and was an avid bowler, always ready with a smile and

a story to share.

 

Jim will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, dedication to

others, and genuine, heartfelt kindness, a legacy that will continue to live on in all

those whose lives he touched.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St.

Philip the Apostle Church, 950 Losson Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14227 on

Monday, December 15, 2025 at 10 AM.
