Obituary of Lonnel J. Owens

Lonnel Owens of Depew, NY, born February 14, 1979, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on October 28, 2025.

He was the devoted father of Azar Owens, Xavius Owens, Eden Owens, and Keiten Barnett Jr. Beloved son of Lamont Owens Sr. (late Debbie) and the late Denise Thorn. Dear brother of Lamon Jr., Eugene, Lemonique, Deanna, Shamel, Denise, Cory, and the late Rashawn and Elizabeth “Tasha”. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Lonnel was known for his incredible work ethic and passion for culinary arts working for many prominent people at LaNova Pizzeria. He loved music, nature, and above all, his family — who meant everything to him. A strong man with a gentle heart, Lonnel strived to live in peace and kindness, and he was loved by everyone who knew him.

He will be remembered as a generous warrior, a hero, and a king who loved our Lord.
