John T. Kisiel of Lancaster, NY, passed away on October 12, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1957, to Maryann (nee Monin) Kisiel and the late Zygmund Kisiel, who passed away in 2011.

A proud graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, John served his country honorably as a Captain in the United States Army from 1979 to 1993. Following his military service, he worked in construction before finding his true calling as a Mathematics and Science teacher in the Buffalo Public School System, where he inspired countless students. He was also a dedicated and successful football coach, sharing his love of the game and leadership with many young athletes.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Merari (nee Lopez) Kisiel; his loving mother, Maryann Kisiel; and his dear brothers, David (Kathleen) Kisiel and Daniel (Dawn) Kisiel. He is also fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Mother Teresa Church, 496 Terrace Blvd., Depew, NY 14043, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by inurnment in St. Augustine Cemetery, Lancaster, NY.
