Norma (nee Banach) Gallagher Obituary

Norma Gallagher of Lancaster, died peacefully on September 25, 2025, at the age of 97. She was born on December 28, 1927, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Clara (née Bauer) and Arthur Banach.


Norma is the beloved wife of the late Terrance “Tike” Gallagher;  Devoted mother of Karen (Gary) Stevenson and the late Mark Weisbeck;  Loving grandmother of Erica (Jeremy) Newberry, Lindsay (Keith) Hendershot, and Dane (Nikki) Weisbeck;  Cherished great-grandmother of Kalena and Alana; Dear sister of the late Arthur (Ann) Banach. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.


Norma worked for many years as a sales clerk at Lerner’s Dress Shop in the Thruway Plaza in Cheektowaga, where she was known for her friendly smile and helpful nature. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and the love she shared with those around her.


Visitation with family on Monday from 3–6 PM at Cichon-Borgosz Funeral Home, Inc., 4929 Broadway, Depew. Relatives and friends are invited to a  Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 158 Laverack Avenue, Lancaster. The family is asking all to kindly assemble at church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
