I was shocked and saddened to learn of Joe's passing. Joe and Laurie were responsible for the blind date that led to my wedding!
Laurie was my college roommate and has been a lifelong friend. Joe was our bio lab instructor at Canisius. What a coincidence that he died on what would have been our 55th anniversary. I wonder if Bill had a hand in this. Laurie, Joe and Amanda, I will keep you all in my prayers for God's peace and healing to comfort you. Love you all.

We feel very honored and privileged to have had the opportunity to know Joe and Laura Enright. Joe coached our three boys and taught them the highest fundamentals of bowling and attitudes of the game. We were so happy to see Joe at the bowling alley this winter to see him again , and for Joe to observe the second generation of the Zmozynski family bowling, Drew and Zoey. RIP Joe and our best to you Laura. The Zmozynski Family

He was a great mentor, in the classroom and especially on the lanes. I remember his attention to details and making sure you always understood. He introduced me to the professional driller I still used today. Meant alot to many people, and I'm very happy he was able to enjoy life to the fullest after all he did for so many kids. He will be missed. RIP Joe

So sorry Laurie for Joe's passing. It seems he lived a good long life and enjoyed life after retiring from DHS. I still never bought a Hammer to pick up those ten pins (he always compared Hammer to Buzzsaw to me :)) when I see one, I think of him and his running bowling jokes.

So very sorry to hear of Joe Enright's passing. He was an amazing educator and both he and Laurie were instrumental in the lives of my children when they were students at Depew. He was a man of integrity and respected by many. He will be missed in our community

Mr. Enright will be sadly missed! As a Depew graduate i had him as a teacher and a coach. In the past 5 years I got to know him on the golf side at LCC. We had great conversations about bowling and golf. Respected him in the fondest way. Rest In Peace .

As a Depew Teachers Organization officer, Joe welcomed me into the Union with a warm smile and enthusiasm as a “rookie” teacher. As years passed, we became good friends and often shared “free” time together. One summer he needed some minor work done on his home that I was glad to perform and even many years later, as a joke, would ask me “do you remember?” I will greatly miss his wit and sense of humor. May you Rest in Peace Joe,
Sincerely, Scott

Deepest condolences to Laurie and the family. As a past President of the NYSGA, Joe's legacy will be long-lasting. As a senior rules official he was an expert who had a great on-course presence - just the right combination of stern but helpful. As Chairman of the NYSGA Hall of Fame Committee Joe supervised the selection process in a highly effective manner and did a great job as MC of the presentation ceremonies. He will be missed by all who were privileged to have known him.

Joe was one of my mentors when I started officiating golf tournaments!,,,, Always willing to share his knowledge and love the game. Although his time here on earth was short. I know he will be looking down forever and his family and friends. My thoughts and prayers to Laurie and the entire Enright family.

A deep loss for family, friends, and colleagues. As principal at Depew High School, I came to know Joe (and Laurie) as compassionate educators and genuinely good people. Always considered him one of my "inner circle" and a "trusted agent" who made me appreciate the history and familial connections at DHS. He commanded respect and was duly respected. May his memory forever be a blessing.

Joe will be sorely missed by Laurie, his family and many friends. We worked with him at multitudes of NYSGA golf tournaments and had a lot of fun. Joe always had tidbits of information and was always willing to share it. Part of His legacy is being Historian at Lancaster Country Club and Chairman of NYSGA Hall of Fame ceremonies. Joe was my Rules mentor and I will always be grateful for his willingness to share his knowledge. May our Lord welcome you into Heaven and may your golf game be only birdies and pars. Love you & miss you.

Joe was the man who motivated myself and many others by his example and his service. His love for golf, both as a player and a referee, drew many of us to follow in his footsteps. He had a particular affinity for helping junior golfers which inspired us all.

A lot of memories of Joe helping my Dad with scoring during the golf tournaments he ran. His picking on some people for their handicaps and changing them, thus the phase you have been Enrighted was born.

His approach to teaching biology planted a seed for love of science in my mind. Mr. Enright was a big part of why I chose to pursue a career in biology and became a doctorate-level scientist. He always had a lot of funny jokes, wore a pig nose when we needed to dissect fetal pigs, and called us nerdy freshmen Ein-swine. One of a kind, and will be missed.
