(nee Kania) Czerwinski; Devoted father of Kimberly (Jimmie) Joaquin and Tammy ( Robert) Thrush; Loving grandfather of Zachary (Sara), Jamie (Joseph), Alexa and Bryson; Cherished son of the late Anna (lnee Reipricht) and Frank Czerwinski; Dear brother of Rose Czerwinski, Julia Czerwinski, late Helen Czerwinski, and Mary Czerwinski; Brother in law of Jane (James) Fullager, David (Sandra) Kania, Debbie(John) Leininger, Kathie (Ron) Clark, and Arleen (Glenn) McMillian. Also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Born on September 4, 1946, in Buffalo, NY, Frank was a devoted husband, proud father, cherished grandfather, and a true American patriot. He served his country with unwavering honor and remarkable bravery as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His courageous actions on the battlefield led to him being awarded the Purple Heart, a symbol of the sacrifices he made and the wounds he endured in defense of freedom—demonstrating not just his valor, but his deep commitment to his fellow soldiers and his nation.
Upon returning home, Frank dedicated himself to building a life anchored in love, integrity, and relentless hard work. He married the love of his life, Joan, a partnership characterized by deep affection and mutual respect. Together, they nurtured two wonderful children, instilling in them timeless values such as kindness, perseverance, and loyalty. Frank took immense pride in his family, often prioritizing their needs above his own and creating a warm and stable home filled with laughter and support.
Known for his quiet strength, generous heart, and a wonderfully dry sense of humor, Frank had a unique ability to connect with those around him. He was a source of wisdom, offering thoughtful advice to his children, while his captivating stories—often recounting his experiences from both the battlefield and everyday life—created bonds that will be cherished forever.
